Bike purchased on a fraudulent credit card recovered at Cash Converters!

This brand new Giant Advanced road bike was purchased from Cecil Walker Cycles in Melbourne by a male using a stolen credit card.

Unfortunately, for Cash Converters, a male came to their store in Preston and sold the bike.  You do have to wonder what story the seller spun as to why they would be selling a brand new high-end bike??

Once placed for sale in the store, the PropertyVAULT report portal lit up on social media and via email by more than a few spotters who reported the bike for sale.  Following standard protocol, after confirming the bike identity we contacted the police, which resulted in one of the Victoria Police finest Detectives, quickly tracing the bike back to Cecil Walker Cycles.

Well done to all involved and commiserations to Cash Converters.  No doubt the customer has now been added to the 'Do not buy from' list.
